My Friends, Please Use This Stamp!
Dear all,
This is Karen, Anna's daughter.
It is with great sadness that I have to inform you mum passed away on Tuesday 5th January at 9pm. She deteriorated very rapidly and we are all very shocked by what has happened. Before she went, she asked me to update you all, as she loved her time on this site and in her conversations with you. Mum was unable to interact with people in person for many years, due to poor health, and her time on this forum gave her the friendship and interest that she needed to live her life in a more fulfilled and less isolated way. For this I also want to thank you all!
In the final weeks of her life she was at utter peace that she was going to be with the Lord and so I try to celebrate the freedom she now has, without the limitations set by her physical body. This is difficult, as I miss her and my father grieves deeply for her too. Whilst contemplating my mum prayerfully and tearfully, the Lord gave me a poem that I managed to share with mum before she left and that I want to share with all of you in her memory.
Gracious Victorious Follower of Christ
Nicolette meaning 'people's victory' Anna meaning 'grace' or 'favour' Kirsteen meaning 'follower of Christ'
What a name you carry..my mother, my Jewish lady..gracious, victorious follower of Christ. What more can be said?
In your turmoil you turned to Jesus and in thoughts of your passing you attested to His greatness and His grace. "He held my hand" you testified as you lay dying.. Oh gracious, victorious follower of Christ!
In your successes in music and art, you gave testament of His love.. oh gracious, victorious follower of Christ!
And now in death you feel His life and you testify of His peace.. oh gracious, victorious follower of Christ!
His love you accepted, His love you shared, His love you lived for and in His love you lay at peace.. oh gracious, victorious follower of Christ!
I know of His great love, and I know of His Grace, I know of his peace because of you..oh gracious, victorious follower of Christ!
My heart thanks you, my spirit rejoices, although I don't yet rejoice.. I will, because of you.. oh gracious, victorious follower of Christ!
Oh how He has loved you, oh how He has cared..through all you have been through He has been with you and will be forever..
Oh gracious, victorious follower of Christ!

My Friends, Please Use This Stamp!
This is Karen, daughter of Anna. She has recently been diagnosed with cancer of the liver and various bones, including her spine. This came about when in Bournemouth hospital for her heart problems, and they discovered many anomalies in her blood results, which led to several urgent scans, and a couple of CT scans. In one sense it makes a lot of sense to all the various symptoms she has had in the past few months. In another, it was shocking news. However, she is in perfect peace about it now she has come to terms with it, and is able to rest in God's blessed assurance of His presence and love. Hopefully soon she will be able to get a little more active on here, but in the meantime, while they sort out which type of cancer she has, and consequently her treatment plan, she is being kept in Poole hospital (oncology), and is needing as much rest as she is able to get. She is too unwell to respond to any messages at the moment, so would be grateful if you could keep comments to a minimum. She sends you all her love and blessings, particularly to all those who have already created lovely pictures and sent her Get well wishes and are praying for her. Her desire is to remain in God's perfect will for this life and beyond. I'm sorry to bring such sad news to you... Karen

NEW UPDATE 27 Dec
Just to let everyone know that Anna's cancer is terminal and she is receiving palliative care. She is still in a lot of pain and needing to sleep as much as possible. I know this is terrible news, but there doesn't appear to be an easy way through. She really does appreciate everyone's thoughts and prayers, but can't answer individual people.
the reality is enough for her to deal with, but her faith remains strong and she wants more than anything to be in the direct presence of her Heavenly Father and finally meet Jesus face to face.
please also could you bear her family up in prayer.

Elizabeth Tomchek Welker
She is a professional artist from the US, whom I have fairly recently came across, and am now of course, a fan and watcher. I have also very recently become interested in Apo again, and having lost all my original flames several years ago, feel like a novice! I also want to use it in conjunction with Chaotica, once I get into it. etomchek has been a great inspiration to me; I just love her ethereal style, which is why I have chosen to feature some of my favourites from her gallery. cavemoss
There is something intrinsically spiritual about this one with its impressionistic style. I could spend a very long time getting lost inside it!
Silk
The tiny extra little spirals incorporated within the main structure are captivating, and the use of the gradient brings out all the details in an amazing way.
Daybreak
In a different part of the universe, untouched by man, I'm certain there is a place such as this. The use of blur with focal points that draw you on into the picture is captivating, as is the brilliant use of colour.
iris
I have no idea what the use of multi-loop rendering means
, but the outcome is certainly worth the effort! I love the way the foreground stands out as separate from the cool looking background, and although my first impression is that of old wood, I can also see the resemblance to the wrinkled texture of parts of an iris flower. But I think there are several concepts one could interpret this image by, and it is therefore all the more fascinating.
dreamland
For me, the main attraction of this one is in the central part of the image in full view. Sprays of pearly droplets - or beads floating in an ethereal cloud of heavenly pinks, whites and beautifully offset against pretty hues of blue. I also love the way the sprays reach into the outer spiral structure.
there's always hope
In full view I find myself drawn into this shell shape by the wisps of cloud-like formations, leading to pretty feathery fronds in a bright light. This is all neatly offset by the more substantial feathery structures to the right. A familiar shape, with a unique presentation.
ivory tower
What a fabulous Chaotica piece, with a well deserved DD! The lights in the sky and the beautifully highlighted ivory tower give a stunning effect!

If You Added Me To Your Watch List
I just want to say that recently, mainly since I received my latest Daily Deviation, I have had a lot of new watchers - thank you so much! But amongst those, there are a lot of people who's accounts are so far blank, with the announcement at the top of the profile "Joined Today!" or "Joined this Week!" and I know that there is a kind of pre-requirement that some choices are made from a list of people whom you might find interesting to watch as you go through the signing up process. It seems I am currently on that list.
Please accept my thanks for having added me, but unless you have something to show who you actually are, preferably with some of your own art or photos in your gallery, I do not leave 'thank-you' messages on your profiles. I'll tell you why this is...
We have many accounts here at dA that are secondary accounts belonging to people who already have accounts here; we also have many "false" accounts, i.e. belonging to people who use them to snoop around dA and find art that appeals to them with the wicked motivation of using those art-works on other sites and pretending those works belong to them - that they were created by them. Some people go to a lot of trouble of removing the original signature and replacing it with their own. Others are silly enough not to even bother doing that - but it's all in order to gain attention to them!
Please know that all my art and my photos are © Anna Kirsten, All Rights Reserved (see my Copyright Notice below). That means these images all belong to me personally and were created by me personally, and they are not to be abused by other people either here or on other sites. If anything of mine is shared on another site, then there must be a link straight back to the original on here. I have enabled share buttons for this very purpose, so that you can link directly from the original on here to places like Face Book. They are not to be re-issued on other sites as desk-top images either. If you wish to download an image as a desk-top on your own personal computer, I can't stop you. But do please add those images to your Favourites too. And of course, you will not get a good resolution either if your screen is larger than the image which is uploaded here.
