Sad News

Dear all,

This is Karen, Anna's daughter.

It is with great sadness that I have to inform you mum passed away on Tuesday 5th January at 9pm. She deteriorated very rapidly and we are all very shocked by what has happened. Before she went, she asked me to update you all, as she loved her time on this site and in her conversations with you. Mum was unable to interact with people in person for many years, due to poor health, and her time on this forum gave her the friendship and interest that she needed to live her life in a more fulfilled and less isolated way. For this I also want to thank you all!

In the final weeks of her life she was at utter peace that she was going to be with the Lord and so I try to celebrate the freedom she now has, without the limitations set by her physical body. This is difficult, as I miss her and my father grieves deeply for her too. Whilst contemplating my mum prayerfully and tearfully, the Lord gave me a poem that I managed to share with mum before she left and that I want to share with all of you in her memory.

What a name you carry..my mother, my Jewish lady..gracious, victorious follower of Christ. What more can be said?

In your turmoil you turned to Jesus and in thoughts of your passing you attested to His greatness and His grace. "He held my hand" you testified as you lay dying.. Oh gracious, victorious follower of Christ!

In your successes in music and art, you gave testament of His love.. oh gracious, victorious follower of Christ!

And now in death you feel His life and you testify of His peace.. oh gracious, victorious follower of Christ!

His love you accepted, His love you shared, His love you lived for and in His love you lay at peace.. oh gracious, victorious follower of Christ!

I know of His great love, and I know of His Grace, I know of his peace because of you..oh gracious, victorious follower of Christ!

My heart thanks you, my spirit rejoices, although I don't yet rejoice.. I will, because of you.. oh gracious, victorious follower of Christ!

Oh how He has loved you, oh how He has cared..through all you have been through He has been with you and will be forever..

Oh gracious, victorious follower of Christ!
