This is a multi-layered fractal created 100% in Ultra Fractal as part of my Ultra Fractal Floral series [link]
The Red Admiral butterfly OCA was isolated from one of my own photos and imported as a direct colouring algorithm via the inbuilt UF Image plug-in, spiralling in Point Orbit Traps.
Of course butterflies like this don't fly around during the darker hours, they hide under leaves and other things! But that's all part of the fantasy!
My grateful thanks always to =Velvet--Glove for the help she gave me a long time ago to produce floral fractals, and this is the first time I have made proper use of the Image Import facility with some knowledge of what I'm doing, after reading up further about the methods used and doing a lot of playing around with the various settings. (It's all a matter of finding the time to dedicate to the project! )
I'm pleased to see this one again. I particularly like those leaves. I also see that you explain how to use images to I've noted that. I only use them simply behind a fractal. I'll have a go with this style.
