This is a depiction of a childhood phobia (which went on well into adulthood before it was diffused).
Something (that I cannot remember) happened one day, which made me terrified of rubber bands. When it came to bath-time, I would NOT get into that water, because well, you know how any object such as hairs and dust float on its surface? I was convinced they were all rubber bands! I would be told No, no-one has put any rubber bands in there and none are there at all. But I was convinced that they were there, and that they were coming up from the plug-hole! I was also convinced that they would "come and get me" if I dared to get in. In the end, I would be picked up - screaming my head off in panic - and placed in the bath - and of course, there were no rubber bands there at all!!! Well, I don't expect this fractal to be of much interest in itself, but as the contest is low on numbers, I thought I'd add it to the IFDD contest on "Psychologically Speaking" - Fractals based on Phobias UF4 |
