The well-thought composition of this pice is what I like the most. Asymmetry is something I love in a fractal, but here, with all those tiny and big flowers, plus leaves and braches, on the right, it could have been excessive in the face of the smooth, smaller, and not at all heavy left part.
The artist, in my opinion, found the right solution and applyed it almost perfectly, working with colours and textures. First of all, the gorgeous blues, greens, and oranges are really well balanced. Second, the elements on the right part, except for the blue flowers, which are the focus of the image, feature very smooth and light textures, a thing that lightens the feeling of excessive crowding. On the left, instead, the textures of the water and the clouds give a bit of movement to that part, making it less static.
This is a beautiful waterscape. The water illusion, with the moon partially covered by clouds in the background, gives it a dreamy, romantic feeling. I also love the sharpness of the foreground opposed to the softness of the setting, a third element which highly contributes to give balance.
A work like this would definitely go in my wishlist!
Let's find some flaws now, since otherwise this will be really not much of a "critique". I think if we could see just half an inch more on the left, this would in my opinion provide a bit more balance still, and give more "oxygen" to the right part. I'd love to see a bit more of that water and sky! Aside from that, I really don't know what else to "critique".

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
